I created this site with three goals in mind:
- To showcase sites that make exceptional use of open source content management sytems.
- To give people a place to ask questions and get answers regarding content management systems.
- And to provide a resource for people interested in using a content management system. (The forthcoming Guide.)

About the Webmaster
I remember the first time I saw a content management system in action. It was a fan site for the actor James McAvoy that used Postnuke. I really liked how different parts of the site were integrated, from the news section to the message board to the photo gallery. So shortly after I saw that site, I decided to start my own site and chose Postnuke to power it.
I abandoned that site and created another but moved away from Postnuke. I started looking at other open source systems including Drupal, Xoops, Serendipity and WordPress. And I became intrigued by what was available.
Although I use Drupal for this site, I enjoy learning about all the systems.
About silverwing
For years now, my online identity has been 'silverwing' or a derivative. (And it's silverwing, not Silverwing. I don't know why the capital 's' bugs me.) My personal journal (I'm not a fan of the word 'blog' for some reason) is Misguided Thoughts. And my real name is David.
